The Brandon University Bobcats have officially unveiled their highly anticipated basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season. Get ready to pack the Healthy Living Centre (HLC) and cheer on your Bobcats as they prepare for another thrilling year of Canada West action.
The regular season tips off with high stakes and high emotions, as the Bobcats look to defend the Healthy Living Centre on October 23 in a massive standalone home opener against their provincial rivals, the Winnipeg Wesmen. The Manitoba matchups don't stop there. The squad takes a quick trip down the highway on November 1 to face the Manitoba Bisons, offering an immediate trial by fire that will show fans exactly how the team stacks up against their closest neighbors right out of the gate.
Mid-November brings the first major endurance test of the campaign. After hosting the always-dangerous Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas on November 6 and 7, the Bobcats will pack their bags for a challenging two-week swing through Alberta. Back-to-back road weekends against the MacEwan Griffins (November 13-14) and the Calgary Dinos (November 20-21) will test the roster's depth and road-warrior mentality early in the year.
Brandon returns to the friendly confines of the HLC to close out the 2026 portion of the schedule, hosting the Bisons on December 4 and 5.Â
When the calendar flips to 2027, the Bobcats shake off the holiday rust on the road against the Regina Cougars on January 8 and 9. They then settle in for a crucial, momentum-building home stretch. The HLC will be rocking for back-to-back home weekends against the Lethbridge Pronghorns (January 15-16) and the Mount Royal Cougars (January 22-23), giving the Bobcats a prime opportunity to rack up critical points and climb the standings in front of their home crowd.
The regular season wraps up with a sprint to the finish line. Brandon hosts the Saskatchewan Huskies for their final home stand on February 5 and 6, a weekend that is sure to carry the heavy emotion of Seniors Night. Finally, the regular season comes full circle on February 12 and 13. The Bobcats will head into hostile territory to close out the campaign exactly where it started—against the Wesmen, but this time in Winnipeg. With playoff positioning historically coming down to the wire, this final weekend series could carry massive postseason implications.
