Men's basketball team cool off the Heat

Box Score KELOWNA, B.C. – In a defensive struggle the Brandon Bobcats were able to score 21 points in the fourth quarter, to narrowly defeat the UBC Okanagan Heat 64-59.  Last year's Canada West Rookie of the Year Ilarion Bonhomme (Washinton, DC) had 17 points in the final quarter, leading the Bobcats to victory.
 
Third year guard, Anwar Faza (Ottawa, ON) had 13 points and six rebounds. Rookie guard Mitch Goodwin (Kelowna, BC) added another 13 points and three steals to the Heat's total in the low scoring game.
 
Second year guard, Ilarion Bonhomme, finished the game with 28 points for the Bobcats, five of his baskets from beyond the arc. Fourth year forward, Jordan Reaves, (Winnipeg, MB) contributed nine points and nine rebounds as well to the game.
 
The Heat drop to 1-6 in league play and the Bobcats move to 2-5. Saturday night the Heat take on the visiting University of Regina Cougars on Saturday night at 7 p.m., and Brandon will travel to Kamloops to clash with the WolfPack.
