BRANDON - Fans at Brandon University's Healhty Living Centre were treated to a fast-paced basketball game Saturday, night but the home team wasn't able to come away with the win despite leading most of the game. Michael Smith missed a buzzer-beater three-point attempt at the end of the game.
Trinity Western got 37 points from the bench while the Bobcats got only 14 points from the bench.
Justing Bakuteka led all scorers with 25 points for the winning side. Mark Perrin finished with a double-double, putting up 18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
The win improves Trinity Western's record to 3-7 while the Bobcats fall to 2-8. The two teams now enter the holiday break. Up next for the Spartans is a home-game against the Alberta Golden Bears on January 11,
