Box Score BRANDON, MB - It took longer than they originally hoped, but the Brandon Bobcats picked up their first regular season win at home in their brand-new facility over the visiting UNBC TImberwolves 61-54.
It was a back and forth game that saw 10 lead changes, but fourth-year forward
Jordan Reaves iced it with a turn-around jumper with 34 seconds left. Reaves finished the contest with a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) as did second-year guard
Ilarion Bonhomme (13 points, 10 rebounds).
UNBC was led by Francis Rowe's game-high 19 points, while Navjot Bains recorded a double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds).
The Bobcats will travel to the west coast next weekend to play a swing trip against the UBC Thunderbirds Friday and Victoria Vikes Saturday, while the Timberwolves will welcome the Winnipeg Wesmen Friday and Manitoba Bisons Saturday.
