Bobcats men's basketball team picks up second straight win

Box Score BRANDON – Although both the Brandon Bobcats and Regina Cougars have been eliminated from the post-season, neither team wanted to go down without a fight Friday night in Brandon, as the Bobcats picked up a 68-54 win.

Three Bobcats finished with double-doubles, led by Ilarion Bonohmme's 14 points and 12 rebounds. Turrell Scott chipped in with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Jordan Reaves added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kenonte Ramsey also added 10 points in the winning effort.

The Cougars were led by Paul Gareau, who responded with a double-double of his own (20 points, 10 rebounds). Connor Burns had a game-high 15 rebounds.

The win is Brandon's second consecutive and improves their record to 6-15, trying them for last place in the Canada West Prairie Division with the Cougars who also sit at 6-15. The loss is Regina's fifth in a row.

The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Brandon to play each team's final game of the 2012-13 season.
