Bobcats drop preseason tilt against Bisons

Box Score WINNIPEG - A strong second half lifted the University of Manitoba Bisons to a 102-65 victory over the Brandon University Bobcats in the late game at the Lea Marc Printing Men's Basketball Tournament in Winnipeg.

Manitoba went into the halftime break with a slim 44-40 lead but ran away with the game in the second half outscoring Brandon by a margin of 58-25.

Manitoba connected on 22-of-37 shots (60%) from the field in the second half.

Stephan Walton led the Bisons with 22 points, including five-three pointers. Amarjit Basi added 18. Wyatt Anders led the team in rebounds with 12.

Brandon was led by Mikee Dosado's 16 points. DJ Jordan added 13. Jordan and Earl Thompson Jr each hauled down seven rebounds.

Manitoba will face UNBC in the late game Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. Brandon will face the host Winnipeg Wesmen in the early game at 6:00 p.m.
