Volleyball Coaching September Summit returns to the HLC this fall, live and in person for the first time in nearly three years.
 The popular
Summit will feature a twist in format again this year.
After moving the event online for the past two years due to Covid-19, the event will take place in the main gym of the Healthy Living Centre on
Thursday, September 29 starting at 9 am.
There is a special attraction tied into the summit with the event held in conjunction with the Bobcat men's volleyball pre-season tournament for the first time ever. Summit presentations will be scheduled throughout the day including LIVE in-game sessions for a unique interactive twist. U SPORTS coaches will dissect live in-game action.

The cost of the day's live event is $110.25 which will include a seminar manual, a summit gift, continental breakfast, lunch, access to all sessions and tournament matches.Â
The highly successful seminar provides technical and tactical sessions for coaches of all levels. The event will feature presentations by different experts on various topics.

Larry McKay
Head Coach, University of Winnipeg men's volleyball team
McKay will be entering his 32nd season as head coach of the University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men's Volleyball program.
He has led the Wesmen to seven CIS and CIAU medals during his distinguished coaching career. McKay is a two-time CIS Coach of the Year (1993 and 2002) and is a member of the Manitoba Volleyball Association Hall of Fame.
McKay has had extensive experience coaching at the international level with both the Canadian senior national team and the Senior B team, most recently leading Canada to a second-place finish and worlds qualification at the 2021 NORCECAs in Durango, Mexico. Before that, he was an assistant on the men's Olympic team at the 2016 Rio Games.Â
Arnd 'Lupo' Ludwig
Head Coach, University of Manitoba men's volleyball team
Arnd 'Lupo' Ludwig was hired in August of 2020, taking the reigns from long-time Bisons men's volleyball coach Garth Pischke. A native of Germany, his resume is extensive. He was an assistant coach for the women's national team between 1999-2002, which included a trip to the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He also has eight years of experience as the head coach of Canada's Women's National Team.Â
Grant Wilson
Head Coach, Brandon University Bobcats men's volleyball
Grant has spent his entire professional career coaching at various levels and is currently is in his eleventh season as the head coach of the Bobcats men's volleyball team. Grant led the Bobcats to the program's first Canada West championship in his first season as head coach and won another conference title in 2019, en route to a U SPORTS national championship appearance.
That same season Grant was named both the Canada West and U SPORTS Coach of the Year. Wilson is coming off a stint with the national team program this past summer which included a silver medal at the Pan Am Cup.
Lee Carter
Head Coach, Brandon University Bobcats women's volleyball
Lee Carter has been the Head Coach of the Bobcats women's volleyball team since the program's inception in 2005. In that time he has earned both the Canada West Coach of the Year award and the CIS (now U SPORTS) Coach of the Year honour.
Lee also served the Canadian national team program as an assistant coach on multiple occasions.
Prior to starting the Bobcats program he led the Grande Prairie College Wolves to an ACAC championship in 2003.
Bryce Wilson
Assistant Coach, Brandon University Bobcats men's volleyball
Wilson has been involved in the Brandon volleyball scene for over 20 years as a coach, volunteer and director.
Wilson has been a director and coach with Brandon Volleyball Club since 2015 and an assistant with the BU men's team since 2018. Prior to that he was an assistant coach with the BU women's team in the 2017-2018 season. He also has international experience, serving as assistant coach for the 2010 Canadian Women's Junior National team.
Bryce has coached at various levels in school and club volleyball since 1997.
