Brandon University soccer stars have been selected as Smitty's Sportsline Lounge Athletes of the Month for September.

Tarin Ballan has her Brandon University women's soccer team leading the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference standings following the first month of regular season competition. The fourth-year defender played a vital role in guiding the nationally ranked Bobcats to five shutout victories in September. Ballan has back-to-back league titles under her belt with the blue and gold and was named playoff MVP in 2023.

Ever reliable Camilo Rodriguez is off and rolling with the Brandon University men's soccer team. Rodriguez had a four-goal performance in the Bobcats' 2025 home opener and netted nine in total in September. He leads the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference in scoring at the end of the first month of competition. The former CCAA All-Canadian has his hometown team within striking distance of the first place in the league standings with five games remaining in the regular season.
