Brian Marshall After a 38 year career with the Brandon Sun, Marshall's connection to Brandon University and the Bobcats went far beyond his work responsibilities.
 
A Brandon product in every way, Marshall was a graduate of Brandon Collegiate Institute where he competed in high school basketball, track and football before earning a diploma from the Wheat City Business School (the predecessor to Assiniboine Community College).
 
Marshall was the voice of the Bobcats as Public Address announcer for the better part of 10 years, during the heyday of the Bobcats men's basketball national championship teams. Marshall was a "Brandon Bobcat Booster", enjoying stand-outs like John Carson and Joey Vickery while contributing to the program in many ways.
 
Marshall contributed to BU in the classroom as well, acting as a guest lecturer in the Faculty of Education where he helped introduce students to newspapers and education as a teaching tool.
 
Marshall also served as Master of Ceremonies for multiple Bobcat basketball hall of fame induction ceremonies.
