Len Sitter Originally from Portage la Prairie, Man., Sitter was considered a monster on the football field, and a well-liked student-athlete off it.

Sitter attended St. Paul's in Winnipeg for his first two years of high school where he was named the football team's most improved player in his grade 10 season. He later moved to Regina and graduated from Campion College High School in 1963 and joined the Bobcats in 1967.

A graduate of BU's Faculty of Arts in 1970, Sitter had an outstanding three seasons as a member of the Bobcats football team. The starting centre and undeniable leader of the offense was attributed with much of the team's success in 1969. For his efforts, Sitter was selected in the 1970 Canadian Football League draft with the first pick in the eighth round to Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

His dedication and accomplishments weren't limited to his time as a player either. Sitter later returned to St. Paul's where he became Vice Principal, Athletic Director and football coach.

Sitter had three stints as head coach of the Crusaders from 1972-1976, 1981-1983 and 1990-1992. The 1982 season in the Winnipeg High School Football League was a special one for Sitter as he guided the club to the program's first-ever league championship. He retired from coaching following the 1992 season and at the time was the winningest coach in program history.

After building the football program at St. Paul's into one of the most dominant in Winnipeg, the school's coaches' offices were re-named in his honour in September of 2012. Â
