Earl Roberts was one of the greatest point guards to play the position for the Bobcats when he donned the Blue and Gold from 1980 through 1985.

Roberts, a Toronto native, played his high school basketball at the same school as another Wall of Famer, Bill Moody. Both prepped at Humberside Collegiate in Toronto. While at Brandon University, Earl was a five-year starter at the point guard position.

He played the game with great savvy at both ends of the court. Earl was a player who made big plays at both ends by drawing a charge in the open court or making the game-winning shot. Earl helped beat Morningside College of Iowa in the last seconds to give Brandon their first win over a NCAA school. Earl possessed quickness and the mental toughness to make the big plays in pressure situations. Earl was also an outstanding free throw shooter, earning an 88% average over his illustrious Bobcat career.
