Brandon University Athletics

Without a doubt, Dave Nackoney was one of the best high school basketball players to come out of Brandon and go on to continue his education at Brandon University.
 
Nackoney is a graduate from Vincent Massey and went on to play five years for Brandon University from 1987-1992.
 
Dave helped lead the Bobcats to the National Championships in 1988 and 1989. In 1989, he led the nation in field goal percentage with a remarkable 75% accuracy. Dave was a three-time GPAC Conference All-Star and for the 1991-92 season, he was named an honourable mention All-Canadian.
 
Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from Brandon University in 1992 and came back in 1993-94 to earn a masters degree.
