Gladwyn Scott began his career at Brandon College in the 1953-54 season and ended it in 1960-61 where he played hockey for the College Caps team. In between his stints at Brandon College, he taught in the public school system.
 
Gladwyn was born in McConnell, Manitoba and began his teaching career in Hamiota, moving to Carman in the 1960’s. Gladwyn coached, managed and founded numerous teams in many different sports. He later served as school division superintendent residing in Souris and Warren. His teams won numerous provincial titles while he promoted the value of sport at every opportunity. Gladwyn was a founding member of the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association and has served as president of the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association and the Manitoba Baseball Association.
 
He has also served as vice-president with Baseball Canada, coached and managed national team programs and was a scout for the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves.

The Manitoba sports icon is a multi-time Hall of Famer.

Gladwyn passed away August 25, 2022 at the age of 90. His family and friends shared their found memories.
