Brandon University Athletics

Whitney Dabney is in an elite group of CIAU basketball players as he led the Bobcats to three national championships, as well as being named an All-Canadian for the 1988 and 1989 seasons.
 
Dabney was also the tournament’s MVP at the national championship in Halifax in 1988. He scored 29 points in the championship game as the Bobcats defeated the Acadia Axemen.
 
While at Brandon University, Whitney was named a GPAC all-star during each of his three seasons as a player. Whitney completed his degree at Brandon University in 1989 and went on to play professional basketball in England and Argentina.
