Brandon University Dick and Verda McDonald Sports Wall of Fame
Steve Dzubinski worked on and with the greatest student-athletes in the history of Brandon University and left an indelible mark as athletic therapist.

The native of Flin Flon, Man. arrived at BU in 1975 and spent the next 42 years on campus. He was also an instructor in the Bachelor of Physical Education Studies program on top of keeping the Bobcats healthy and ready to play.

He was on hand for the three straight Canadian titles captured by the Bobcat men's basketball team in the late 1980s and travelled with the men's volleyball program to national championships.

Dzubinski inspired future generations of athletic therapists and his legacy continues to grow with a BU scholarship award named in his honour.

He wore the Maple Leaf on multiple occasions. He served on Canada's medical team at three Olympics, a trio of Pan American Games, three World University Games and one Commonwealth Games. He was also on the medical staff at three Canada Games and two Manitoba Games.

Dzubinski was enshrined into the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association's Hall of Fame in 2015. He was also honoured by the CATA with a member emeritus award in 2022 for his four decades of dedication to the profession.
