Don Raleigh, who played with the Brandon College Caps from 1945-47, was a tireless worker who went on to play for the NHL’s New York Rangers. While in New York, he played with the legendary Andy Bathgate and the eventually became the Rangers’ captain.
 
Not only was he the Blueshirts’ captain, but he was chosen as of the 50 greatest New York Rangers of all time.
 
While at Brandon College, Raleigh organized the intramural hockey program. He captained the Caps and centred one of the best lines in Brandon College or Brandon University history with Fan Campbell and Art Nicol on the wings.
 
A talented and hard working player, Raleigh led the College Caps in goals, assists and points.
