Brandon University Athletics

A two-time Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) first-team all-star goalie, the Creelman, Saskatchewan native was one of the main reasons for the success of the 1979-80 and 1980-81 Brandon University Bobcat teams.
 
In 80-81, he helped the ‘Cats obtain a #1 CIAU ranking and was named a CIAU All-Canadian.
 
Upon graduating from Brandon University, Vernon moved to Norway where he enjoyed a successful pro career and played for the Norwegian national team in the 1988 Olympics.
