John Tresoor, a native of Kenora, Ontario played hockey for four years at Brandon University.
 
A former captain, John was an extremely intense, hard-hitting defenceman who played with a great deal of confidence.
 
John’s career at Brandon University didn’t go unnoticed by the team or the league with the honour of four awards as he was named 1980-81 Bobcats Most Improved Playrs, 1981-82 Bobcats Doc Hannah Award recipient, as well as being named a 1981-82 GPAC First-Team All-Star.
